A stunning 1 bedroom apartment situated in the heart of town.
1. Sunny Living
The living room is south facing and on a sunny Saturday morning, sitting on the sofa with a cup of coffee and a croissant picked up from the Trinity Theatre Cafe (which is literally just over the road) with the sunlight spilling in through the bay window - it almost feels like being abroad.
2. So Convenient
The location of the flat is amazing, whether dashing up to London to see an evening show or for the daily commute (the station is a 5 minute walk or a 3 minute sprint), meeting friends for a couple of drinks down in the Pantiles (definitely in staggering distance) or the cupboards are bare, its lunchtime and you find yourself in Pret again! York Road has a neighbourhood feel, overlooking a row of beautifully maintained houses opposite, friendly neighbours who say hello and views up to the common and mount Ephraim - you feel really connected to the town.
The kitchen is a really big space for a one bed flat, weve managed 4 homemade pizzas and a mountain of salad from scratch to feed 6 people seated around the dining table. Not to mention Christmas parties a table full of food and mulled cider on the hob. And on winter evenings we love nothing more than to light the stove and candles in the living room and feel really hygge.
4. Storage Galore
For a one bed flat this place has got a lot of hidden storage, a separate cupboard on the landing for all of things you need to keep in life but dont want to be looking at on a daily basis. A laundry cupboard so that the washing machine does not take up valuable storage in the kitchen and weve really made the best of the high ceilings in the hallway with a ceiling mounted clothes airer. Built in shelving either side of the fire place, slows your book collection to be on display and the cupboards underneath enable storage of the things you just havent had time to sort out yet.
5. Lazy Sunday Morning
Though the bedroom is the smaller room in the flat weve got a custom made king sized bed, with more storage underneath and the headboard doubles as a shelf for a reading light and glass of water. Again, due to the high ceilings weve got a ridiculously tall wardrobe for all that extra storage. The nicest thing on a sunny Sunday morning is to sit in bed with the lower sash window open, the sunshine streaming in and the scent of lavender from our window box.. and if youre lucky, someone might even bring you a cup of tea!
A fantastic property that is certainly well worth having a look as a first time purchase or as a buy to let investment.
